Miyavi: Marriage and All

As far as Japanese music goes, when speaking in modern times, Miyavi is top-rated. People love him for his eccentric personality as much as they love his voice, and multiple talents. This is nice, yes? Any musician wants his personality to be liked as well as his work.
His marriage to fellow artist Melody seemed to only escalate his popularity over time, and his newest child, Lovelie, couldn't be cuter. I believe these normal actions further allow any and all of his fans to realize that no, he is not a star in the sky, but in fact, just a guy. With a new baby, of course!

Join me in congragulating the new family~

J-Music: Diving right in.

Japanese music can't be broken down, like any other music. Here's me attempting to.

If you love Japanese music, or just like music, please read this article. One thing I’ve always noticed about Japanese music---its being constantly equipped with many fresh minded bands. Though there are a few bands that just cater to one sound, one way, and one style, there are also tons of other bands that should be priding themselves on being unique and edgy, and when I say unique and edgy I mean no one sounds like them, no one is as “ungrounded” as they are, and no one takes musical risks like they do.

And you really don’t want any musicians to be “grounded”, after all it’s make or break out there. When he/she is unfortunately grounded, then all you can expect from them is the same bit of drool every song, and that is sad in its own special way, we should pity those people and offer our hankies to wave in the air when they board a ship to End-Of-Career Island, really. Some Japanese music is like this, but of course they have some hidden gems, as does anything. See, I’ll boil it down. This music has multiple artists with multiple talents. They have a great fan base, and have just the right amount of privacy, for being something of a music star. I find them ALL to be polite, packed with multiple mannerisms, and each with personality and thoughts. As if…they are living. :-]

A lot of you might already know that some of these Japanese bands sing differently, it’s a whole new style arch, and it probably isn’t for everybody, as is the idea of listening to music you can’t quite understand linguistically. To me, it was a whole new world I literally couldn’t understand. Like Narnia, or the land of Hogwarts. Go slow, don’t forget a coat and a wand, and you can easily find something for you. This is why I prefer J-Music to other music from other countries. It’s raw; it’s about the pure sound of the song, and it requires you to do a little digging, online-wise. When you find a song, you ask yourself, does this song click with me? And the answer is either a yes, or a no. If it’s no, well that’s hella good, I’m sure we have something else in common. If it’s yes, welcome to my big Italian family of Japanese Music. I love you.
And thank you for even visiting my Japanese music site.
